Many of us have taken our passion and/or expertise in other areas and brought our talents to the Cannabis space. For me, with more than 25 years of experience in commercial insurance, I saw how my gifts and expertise could benefit the industry. The evolution of the cannabis space is moving at a fast pace and insurance solutions offered are moving at a pace that is, let’s just say, much slower. Yet, it is fact that for all industries, insurance has been the primary risk management tool used that helps sustains businesses after a loss.
Congratulations to all of the pioneers, many who through blood, sweat and tears are making a way in this space. I wish you success and longevity for your business. Understanding ways to sustain your business through risk management is a discipline that all businesses must undertake; relentlessly. This blog will focus on insurance and risk management for your cannabis business. My desire is that business owners, insurance professionals, risk managers, and the cannabis concerned will find valuable morsels to take away from this blog as they build their business.
