The staff of the National Cannabis Risk Management Association (NCRMA) is saddened to hear of the injuries caused by the butane explosion in Los Angeles. News of the incident comes as the organization’s National Cannabis Risk Management Academy prepares to launch the next installment in occupational health and safety curriculum and a future offering in disaster planning and preparation.
“Such mishaps highlight the primary importance of sound and professionally developed health and safety practices and programs within all levels of the cannabis vertical,” said Rocco Petrilli, chairman of the NCRMA.
The NCRMA staff has expertise in the areas of health care, safety engineering and chemical engineering, and the organization has partnerships that enable it to deliver the education, training and consultation required to maximize a cannabis company’s performance and experiences in these critical areas, Petrilli said.
