I am pleased to announce the appointment of Tamala J. McBath to the position of Chief Execution Officer of the NCRMA/Garnet Underwriting Managers responsible for the launch of the Conway Holdings cannabis insurance and risk management initiatives.
Tamala is president of The Regal Group, Inc. and has more than 25 years of operational experience as a national consultant in compliance and risk management. She brings a unique approach to resolving issues that many organizations face. Tamala and her internal team offer solutions in business strategy and execution, risk management, marketing, and business development for existing businesses, start-ups and acquisitions. She is a seasoned operational expert with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage execution down to an individual level to ensure the successful achievement of the organization’s initiatives.
Tamala is also a certified Talent Optimization Consultant with The Predictive Index.
In the CXO role, Tamala will be responsible for assisting me with creating, communicating, executing and sustaining strategic initiatives within the company. She and her team will also champion the organization and execution of our inaugural membership meeting, NCRMA 2020, set for March 23 and 24, 2020 at Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
I also, with mixed emotions, am announcing the resignation of Dawna Capps Evans from the NCRMA. Dawna has decided to devote more time to her individual cannabis and insurance pursuits. We thank her for her service in the launch of the NCRMA and wish her all good fortune in the future.
This upgraded NCRMA team allows for an expanded, personal and centralized focus on our membership. I will personally lead this effort and work with our team to recruit regional directors who will service our membership geographically and expand our service partner and appointed broker network to answer the call of our members for vastly improved risk management and insurance service in the cannabis space.
We have recently reestablished the tone and pace of the NCRMA to that required to extend the lead we have created as the front-runner in cannabis risk management and insurance product definition and sanction. Our mission to make our members better consumers of insurance is intact.
